The philosophy

The way of
the needle

A ronin is a samurai without a master – one who walks his own path. That is the spirit of the studio: own direction, own craft, and full respect for tattooing as an art form with a long history.

We tailor every tattoo to your body, story and placement – and if you want something entirely your own, we draw the motif from scratch. We work closely with you from idea to finished ink – with respect for both skin and motif.

“A tattoo is a lifelong oath. We treat every stroke with the same weight as the edge of a katana.”

It started with Ink Master on the TV screen: the fascination that art can live on skin. To Hans, tattooing is an art form with a long history that he deeply respects – and the name Ronin, the samurai without a master, stands for the freedom of being your own boss. In the chair with Hans, tattooing should never feel taboo, only like art.

«I had been thinking about getting a tattoo for a long time. About three weeks ago I sat down one evening and started putting together what I wanted – things that mean something to me. Five hours in the chair and a result I love! A huge thank you to Ronin Ink in Ulsteinvik – I absolutely recommend them»

Hygiene & safety

Clean. Sterile. Safe.

A tattoo should be something you can trust – not just artistically, but hygienically. This is how we work:

01.

Sterile single-use equipment

Needles, grips and ink caps are used once and disposed of responsibly after every client.

02.

Disinfected workstation

Bench, chair and all surfaces are cleaned and disinfected between every single session.

03.

Barrier protection

Machine, cords and bottles are covered with single-use barriers throughout the session.

04.

Approved business

The studio follows the Norwegian regulations on hygiene requirements for tattoo businesses.
